Hello, you have found the page where I try to explain who I am. It’s funny how making fictional characters or massive sprawling worlds is easy enough, but when it comes to describing one’s self, it seems there’s a constant writer’s block.
I am a 28-year-old Dane, living in the city of Viborg in the midst of Jutland. I have been writing stories and fictional works since I was 8 years old, and have been interested in the good story and story-telling since even before that. I am currently working towards becoming a graphical web-designer, but my interest is mainly in text.
I first began to find myself drawn to fantasy writing, after spending several days reading the old Sword & Sorcery books. These choose-your-own adventure books essentially sparked the idea of not only playing, but writing up my own stories. Through my school years I actively went for assignments, where I could create a new world or build up a story of my own. Sometimes I even went on to write further on an assignment, despite not needing to do so.
This continued through the years, though I focused more on getting my education done, writing in my spare time, when I felt like it. As a kid and teenager my interests was largely based around the High Fantasy stories, inspired by worlds like Tolkien’s Lord of The Rings, Games Workshop’s Warhammer and Dungeons & Dragons. Unlike others, I had little interest in the games and the figures, however the lore in each of the worlds, had always caught my attention; how everything was connected, and how small stories filled out a world, piece by piece.
The creation of Qa’Rajh
Qa’Rajh isn’t a Danish name, and, as far as I’m aware, it’s not a name in any culture of the “real” world. For me, Qa’Rajh as a character, a persona, if you like, started around December of 2011. I had just bought The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim for my PS3, and spent countless hours playing through every cave, every village, every forest. In the connection I got to Skyrim, as it was the first game I bought for myself, I think I discovered my way of enjoying lore: Small stories, some relevant to the story, some not. But all essential to fill out a world, to make it more immersive, to make it feel more real.
I started playing as a Nord, seeing as I tried to remake myself as my first Skyrim characters. However through playing, reading and learning, I eventually fell in love with the Khajiit, an androgynous feline race, from the province of Elsweyr. This affection also spread to my life on social media, at this point in time, mostly Facebook and Tumblr. I began making content for the largest page, dedicated to the Khajiit race on Facebook, simply titled “Khajiit”. Through that, and because I was active in the comments on other images, the admin-team contacted me regarding becoming a part of their little group. I very happily accepted, and begun making mostly text-heavy posts for the page.
As a way to distinquish one from other administrators, tags where used. I hadn’t really been much into naming my persona, so this prospect actually took some time. I went online studied Khajiit lore, and found a name-generator. However I didn’t like the outcomes, despite trying multiple times over the cause of several days. Instead I went and looked at some common Khajiit phrases. And I found that a site argued that the prefix typically meant what kind of role a certain Khajiit had in society. “Qa” was refering to the unknown or a stranger. This suited me perfectly, as a new admin, I felt the “stranger” personality fitted perfectly, also for the sake of getting to roleplay as this character.
Qa’Rajh the character was a very cautious type, barring slight paranoia towards others, but otherwise being friendly and helpful. I didn’t get to roleplay as much as I intended to, but either way, the character was made, and a path was set.
The YouTube-channel

I started my YouTube channel back in 2011, and apart from a few videos of the weather, taken on an old smart phone, I didn’t do much with it. It’s creation was mainly so that I could comment on YouTube videos, mostly of the so-called “Let’s Play” variety, involving casual gameplay with commentary, without being focused on it being fast, better, harder or anything of the sort.
The idea to make videos of my own was heavily inspired by one of my YouTube idols, Jesse Louis Cox , and his style of making even games that I had little interest in, funny and entertaining to watch. As he was also playing Skyrim at the time, it’s easy to see how I got to be a devoted fan of him and his videos. Eventually, I managed to procure the hard- and software needed in order to make videos of my own. At first I had some trouble getting the videos to have the right audio settings, but eventually, I got my Let’s Play of Skyrim made, with the videos being shared with the Khajiit page, as I was playing as a Khajiit in the series.
With other Elder Scrolls games also among my videos, I began making a name for myself, developing my style of playing with my persona, with Qa’Rajh. As I got more into making videos, I also began recording myself playing/reading visual novels, with a focus on the voice acting as the main selling point for my videos. I enjoy putting pieces of lore together, as the glue to world-building, and I have a great fondness for the different styles that different universes are set up, essentially plucking ideas that I think work well, and smashing it together with something from another world that I also like.
